Walk in my shoes. Choose First person, then move your mouse to look and point in the direction you want to go. On a touchscreen, drag to look. Use WASD, your arrow keys, or the always-ready direction buttons to move. Hold Shift to sprint.
Let the island do the talking. Movie mode takes a slow tour around the landmarks. Pause the animations to hold the moment. Move to take control, or press Escape to return to Explore.
